I think Ueda Shinya is a genius. I have always thought Matsumoto Hitoshi creates the most hilarious moments that pierce through momentary emotion and feeling in a specific situation, but Ueda is also great. One thing I remember is when he acted like a guy trying to stay longer with a girl he dated, not officially going out, but still trying to stretch the time as much as possible, and then failing badly because Tokui, acting as the girl, rejected him. As he got rejected by Tokui, he just went face down on the ground in a straight line, as if he was begging. It was not just acting for a funny moment, but bringing real human desperation into the acting and making it feel real on the show. The guest in that episode was Tsumabuki Satoshi. He got a lot older these days compare to these old episodes that I watched. I cannot watch the neweset ones.
